The Brown and White Sports Weekly Update: April 11th – April 17th

With The brown and white Weekly sports update, I’m Sydney Staples.

Madison Pineda finished third in the Patriot League championship in women’s golf over the holiday weekend. Her finish earned her All-Patriot League first-team honors and was named the league’s Rookie of the Year. She averaged 76.64 shots over the 22 rounds of the season and now holds the second-lowest single-season pointing average in program history.

Kyle Burke broke two school records after finishing fourth in the 1500m and second overall in the 800m at the Bison Outdoor Classic. In addition to his record-breaking performances, members of both men’s and women’s athletics finished strongly at their respective meetings.

Men’s Golf placed 11th in their tournament. Men’s lacrosse lost their game while women’s lacrosse won theirs. Baseball and softball won and lost their games. Men’s tennis won their matches while women’s tennis lost theirs. Both men and women rowers were successful in their races.
