Six tar-heel rowers named all-ACC academic

The University of North Carolina rowing team has added six student athletes to the Academic All-ACC team in 2021.
Carolina’s guests of honor include:
Alessandra De Vito, a junior from Newton, Massachusetts who is studying economics / political science and rowed in college eight;
Lauren Furthermore, a senior from Corning, NY, who is studying biology, received All-ACC awards that season and rowed eight in college;
Hannah Fischer, a senior from Fairfax, Virginia who is studying business / political science and rowed at Varsity Eight;
Jessica Richter, a sophomore from Raleigh, NC, studying statistics and analytics and rowing four in college;
Ashley Lim, a senior from Asheville, NC, who studied chemistry and rowed eighth in college;
Gigi Maroney, a New Buffalo, Michigan freshman who studied political science and rowed the Varsity Four.
The minimum academic requirements for joining the Academic All-ACC team are a grade point average of 3.0 for the previous semester and a cumulative average of 3.0 during the academic career. The athletic achievements of the last season are also taken into account when selecting the Academic All-ACC team.
The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all student-athletes at the conference with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
