Two Oregon state rowers have received All-America Awards, the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association announced this week.

Muryn Greene was named to the second All-America team, while Sierra Bishop was named Honorable Mention.

Greene and Bishop both competed in the Varsity-8 in all six competitions that season. Greene competed in the stroke seat, while Bishop saw the time on the 3-seater, 4-seater and 5-seater. The duo helped OSU finish fourth with 21 team points in the Pac-12 championships, the team’s highest result since 2009.

Greene and Bishop helped the Beavers defeat Washington State and regain the Tammy Crawford Plate and Jodi Winchell Cup. The Tammy Crawford Plate is presented to the winner of the Varsity 8 race at Oregon State and WSU Dual. The Jodi Winchell Cup goes to the team that has the most team points in the OSU vs. Washington State Dual.

Greene received All-Pac-12 awards for her efforts this season. Bishop was placed on the Pac-12 Honor Roll.

Wilsonville’s Bishop has been selected to represent the United States in the upcoming U23 World Cup. Greene of Northern Ireland has been selected to compete in the event for the UK but will not be attending due to cadre restrictions due to COVID-19.
